Have a Renault 5 Turbo Tour de Corse for your time. I’ve been in New Zealand for 3 month now, and it’s clear I don’t have the need for a car, but man I do miss driving... I just want a steering wheel and some wingding roads (and we have heaps of them here)... I’m sure you guys can relate, driving is what I do when I need to clear my head. Some people go for a run, or a game, I just drive. Going for a spirited drive is probably one if the first thing I’m going to do when getting back to France in December.

Just don’t end up like me. I missed driving so much I would sit in the living room with a steering wheel in my lap, it was driving me nuts.
Sorry. I couldn’t help it.
Why not hire a cheap car for a day and go for a little drive somewhere.

I don’t even have driving games on my laptop....
And I thought about renting a car for a day. I can get one for something like 20NZD here.

$20 sounds good. $20-30 of fuel in the tank and off you go. Take off and do some sightseeing, enjoy some windy rounds and take a few snacks, make a day of it.

I wanted to do so to when I came. But since I live in the CBD, the main issue I have is parking :/ In one of the suburbs it wouldn’t be any problem because there’s free parking everywhere.

Indeed. Car rentals can be necessary.

Renault 5 turbo is one of my dream cars.
I stopped driving years ago, went for a motorbike for the past two years. But because I had a car accident that ruined my back in 2008, that was not a good idea and I am now feeling the side effects of the 2-wheel pleasures.
So, selling the bike and back to cars for me. It’s actually good, I miss it too. So I can totally relate.
